There are so many out of the way, yet fantastic, places in Mexico. This section is a travel guide for people who want to go to some places the lonely planet doesn't mention.
Safety: all the places mentioned are places I would feel perfectly safe to visit alone. And I would be very happy at all the camping spots with one other person.
Spanish: I have a reasonable level of spanish and have discovered that asking around is always a very good idea. Even if you can only say the name of the place you are going, ask a couple of people!
Weekends: Mexicans love to get away on the weekends so expect people and noise in even the most remote spot.
